Why Choose a Derbi Motorbike?

Derbi is another manufacturer owned by Piaggio but this time, it’s Spanish.

While the brand isn’t the biggest selling in the UK, it has a strong reputation on the market for stylish and reliable bikes.

The Derbi line-up

Derbi has a varied line-up of two-wheelers ranging from the dual-purpose Terra Adventure to the 125cc GPR street bike range, with others in between.

That means there’s a Derbi to suit most riders and if you’re weighing up a new bike, you can read our rider reviews to see whether Derbi is the brand for you.

How can The Bike Insurer help?

At The Bike Insurer, we compare insurance quotes from the UK’s leading insurance brokers. That means you get to pick from the cheapest quotes.

I learned to ride on this bike and I'm glad I got a geared bike rather than a twist-and-go, it will make to step up to a 125cc easier. I almost always starts on the first kick over, and I've never really had any problems with it. Maximum speed I've ever done is 54mph which is very good for a 50cc engine. Had to replace headlamp bulb as it wasn't very good. I also have an extra light as the headlight isn't quite powerful enough in the pitch black. However overall a very good bike, great for a first time rider.
