Why choose KTM?

KTM is an Austrian manufacturer whose roots lie in producing high quality off-road motorbikes.

That trend continues to this day, but the famous orange brand has also started producing some brilliant road bikes to accompany its off-road prowess.

The KTM model line up

Coming from an off-road racing background, the brand is unsurprisingly dominated by supermoto and enduro models but even its naked, adventure and supersport models show signs of KTM’s off-road origins.

As well as the brand’s iconic orange paintjob across all of its models, naked styling and big front forks also run throughout the range.

All in all, the design, livery and styling of the KTM range gives it a dynamic and aggressive appeal, particularly among younger riders.

KTM insurance quotes

This can have a slight negative impact on KTM insurance prices, which can be slightly higher than similar models however The Bike Insurer provides the best opportunity to get the cheapest insurance quotes.

The Bike Insurer compares insurance prices from the UK’s leading insurance providers, helping you get the cheapest quotes available.

Looks like a pretty extreme riding position but surprisingly roomy and comfortable; took the trip to Catalunya for the GP last year and loved every second.
Always gets the attention when out and about rides as good as it looks!!

Excellent bike, nothing else looks like it, fun, explosive power, fun, quality components, fun, comfortable, have I said fun. Seriously, this is the first v-twin I have owned after a lifetime of jap fours, and it is different, not stupidly fast, but more then enough, can easily upset most sports bikes in the twisties, brakes like you won't believe, piss myself laughing every time I open the throttle, and the noise thru Acro pipes is orgasmic, have I said fun, if you get a chance, ride one, I promise you , you will buy it.

Don't agree with the insurance database stating the 180HP bracket. Yes this can be achieved but out of the box the bike isn't 180 brake.

I ride my SDR every day, all weathers, no exceptions. I have been riding 20 years. Ridden CBRs,GSXRs,DUCATIs,custom engined fighters, busa's,SP2s,you name it. Never have I ridden a bike with so much torque! The SDR works for taller riders, it's comfy, quick and great handling. Needs sport setup if you want to push hard but remember it is a road bike.. Only experienced riders will get the most Out of it. Less experienced riders could ride with the assists on and still have fun, but if you are a hooligan you will have so much fun you'll get arrested! If you love your twins, this bike will take some beating.
