Why Choose a Kymco Motorbike?

Kymco is a trading name for the Kwang Yang Motor Co Ltd, a Taiwanese manufacturer of scooters and ATV’s.

Founded in 1963 as a motorcycle parts manufacturer, Kymco launched its first scooter in 1970 and almost immediately set up a subsidiary in South Carolina, USA, which successfully introduced no less than 15 scooters and 9 ATVs to the local market.

Modern day Kymco

Today Kymco is credited with being the largest scooter manufacturer in Taiwan and the fifth largest in the world.

All Kymco scooters are equipped with powerful engines and advanced features, including the 125 Stryker, the Agility, the Dink, the Maxxer, the People, the Venox 250 and the Xciting – all of which have been introduced since 2004.

The Venox 250 cruiser is one of Kymco’s best-known bikes and comes equipped with a single cylinder engine that produces 27hp at 10,500rpm.

Like all post 2004 models, the bike has front disc brakes and rear drum brakes and comes with a wet, multidisc clutch, a 5-speed gearbox and a lightweight frame.

Bought on eBay auction at a snip for £185. Its old...1999, but in fairly good condition.
It needed a front tyre, did it myself for £29. Front disc brake needed new pads, pistons and master cylinder and new fluid, all for £39. A new legal headlight was £10! A few other minor things like chain adjustment, steering tightening, then past its MOT. Replaced all indicators and relay with LEDs. Work well for £11. The bike itself was not running 100%, stuttered on any hill at 30+ mph, having to use and play with choke half the time, with the fear of engine cutting out.
I paid for carb cleaner, a new fuel filter and a new sparkplug, all for £14. I also bought a Yuasa battery for £22, purely because the old one was the much feared cheapo Rob Hunter make, that was barely holding a charge.
Fitted and cleaned above, took it out for a test run AND IT WENT LIKE A ROCKET!
Now no choke needed, have full acceleration and was nearing 70mph, which is rather good for an old bike thats been stood for 18 months and a bike thats designed to do 62mph! Its much more responsive and I can now trust it!
I have paid £337, including MOT, for a very low mileage 125cc motorbike (6000 miles).
HAPPY ME!

It's a very good starter bike if you can afford it. The price is a bit steep for only a 50cc It's a very good starter bike if you can afford it. The price is a bit steep for only a 50cc
