Kymco is a trading name for the Kwang Yang Motor Co Ltd, a Taiwanese manufacturer of scooters and ATV’s.
Founded in 1963 as a motorcycle parts manufacturer, Kymco launched its first scooter in 1970 and almost immediately set up a subsidiary in South Carolina, USA, which successfully introduced no less than 15 scooters and 9 ATVs to the local market.
Modern day Kymco
Today Kymco is credited with being the largest scooter manufacturer in Taiwan and the fifth largest in the world.
All Kymco scooters are equipped with powerful engines and advanced features, including the 125 Stryker, the Agility, the Dink, the Maxxer, the People, the Venox 250 and the Xciting – all of which have been introduced since 2004.
The Venox 250 cruiser is one of Kymco’s best-known bikes and comes equipped with a single cylinder engine that produces 27hp at 10,500rpm.
Like all post 2004 models, the bike has front disc brakes and rear drum brakes and comes with a wet, multidisc clutch, a 5-speed gearbox and a lightweight frame.
