Why Choose an M.V. Agusta Motorbike?

M.V. Agusta has a strong racing heritage but away from the track the Italian manufacturer continues to build some of the most stylish and desirable motorcycles available.

M.V. Agusta heritage

M.V. Agusta has been building bikes since 1945 and its models were some of the original cafe racers which are experiencing something of a renaissance at the moment.

That changed over time and M.V. became more synonymous with high-powered sports bikes complete with fairings, unlike its earlier models.

And it’s these big, powerful models that the manufacturer still builds today, including the Brutale, Stradale and Rivale.

It’s certainly a departure for MV to move into the sports touring market, however it looks and feels right. The Stradale is comfy even if many comment on the small hump on the seat digging into your back - I don’t notice it. Anyway, MV have given you a reason you to get off the bike every 100 miles or so as the tank is very small so you visit the petrol station with alarming regularity. I have to say I kiss a few frogs before a plumped for the Stradale and I love it.

It handles very well as soon as you get familiar with the super-moto riding position. This allows you to gain a lot of confidence when you need to change direction quickly. The engine power and fuelling are spot-on and the quick shifter is addictive. In my opinion, it’s a bit of a Swiss-Arm Knife, drop the panniers and go for a Sunday morning blast, put them on for a weekend away, add some soft bags on the back and you're touring.

If you are looking for something a bit different, this is the bike for you.

Owned for 2 1/2 years, other than general servicing costs (£200 annually) and a right hand lowside at donnington park(£1500 parts only) the bike has had no unexpected faults or running issues. Bike can be uncomfortable on a long journey but having covered more than 600 miles on it in a day I found it to be bearable. And @ 6'1" and 18 stone they probably didn't have me in mind as they rider when they developed it. The bike won't keep up with modern litre sports bikes but if you want to turn heads this is the bike to go for!
