Peugeot is a famous name in the motor industry and despite its two-wheelers being slightly less famous than its four-wheelers, it’s still a big player in the UK and European market.
Where did it start for Peugeot
For more than 150 years, Peugeot has been developing and building all manner of machines, from sewing machines to coffee grinders, bicycles and cars.
Obviously we’re more interested in Peugeot’s mopeds and scooters, where the Lion brand has generated quite a following.
The French manufacturer built its first two-wheeler in 1898 and now, with the help of Honda who owns a 25 per cent stake in the company, it has a wide range of stylish scooters and mopeds.
What Peugeot models stand out?
Over the last decade, the entry-level 50cc Ludix Scooter has been one of the manufacturer’s most popular models, along with the Blaster RS12, a bike with a reputation as the fastest accelerating 50CC on the market.
Current Peugeot bikes range from the base range 50cc V-Clic all the way up to the 500cc on the Satelis models.
With The Bike Insurer you can compare insurance quotes whatever your Peugeot you own but if you don’t own one of the French manufacturer’s famous models, you can read our owner reviews to see what it’s really like to ride a Peugeot day-in and day-out.
