Bike4Life Ride Out and Festival

This weekend marks the seventh annual Bike4Life festival, one of the UK’s most popular biking events.

Starting at 11:30am from Meole Brace in Shrewsbury, over 6,000 riders are expected to participate in the charity ride out, travelling 23 miles to RAF Cosford where the festival will be underway.

Bike4Life Ride Out and Festival raises money for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity which, unfortunately, regularly airlifts bikers to hospital.

Last year’s event raised £63,500 for the charity and was attended by 12,000 people, half of whom took part in the organised ride.

This year’s ride out will be led by former World Superbike champion Carl Fogarty, racing legend Steve Parrish, and Boyzone star/motorcycle enthusiast Shane Lynch.

The Festival will feature performances from live bands and is headlined by The Wholls.

Other entertainment includes a skydive display from Red Devils and a routine from Nitro Circus freestyle motocross star Jamie Squibb.

Bookings for the ride out are now closed but you can purchase tickets for the festival on the day (10am-4pm). Entrance is £5 per person with under 16s going free.

Bike4Life is run in collaboration with West Mercia Police and Safer Roads Partnership and all proceeds go to Midlands Air Ambulance.
