On Sunday 22 May, The Bike Insurer will be at Stanborough Park in Welwyn Garden City for the 2016 Herts Auto Show.

The annual motor show has been going since 2012 and this year it’s supposed to be bigger and better than ever.

As well as over 2000 visitors expected, there will be hundreds of bikes, cars and vans on display.

For motorcycle fans, Steve Parrish will be hosting the show from the main stage, with BMW Motorrad and numerous bike clubs exhibiting throughout the day.

More than 600 cars are already registered with a huge display of Ferraris and Lamborghinis in the supercar section.

There will also be a big line-up of vans, from campers to customised Transits, which is why The Van Insurer will be on hand as well, with best in show prizes courtesy of Auto Finesse.

Helicopters, famous vehicles and race simulator

If you fancy a different view of the show, you can book a helicopter pleasure flight over the site for £40 throughout the day.

You’ll be able to get a birds eye view of some famous vehicles from films and Hollywood with Bumblebee from the Transformers franchise and KITT from Knightrider (for anyone of a slightly older generation).

And if you fancy yourself as a bit handy behind the wheel, there’s a race simulator for you to try your hand at too.

Stalls, music and more

Live music will feature throughout the day as well as an exhibition from the police and a military vehicle display.

For the little ones there will be Superhero photo opportunities and fairground rides too.

When does it all kick off?

The show begins at 10am on Sunday 22 May at Stanborough Park but if you want to get a taster of what’s to come, Bumblebee from the Transformers franchise will be on hand at the Howard Centre in Welwyn Garden City on Saturday 14 May.

Proceeds go towards the Make-a-Wish Foundation. Learn more on Facebook.
