The PLOP is coming

The next instalment of the PLOP Enduro is just three weeks away, with 44 teams ready to descend on Anglesey on the 4 July.

Once again, The Bike Insurer will be there but this time with company, in the form of The Van Insurer.

One thing we’re pleased about is that we can only improve on our performance from earlier this year. With just 44 teams involved this time round, we definitely can’t finish 60th like we did last time out.

The race will again take place at the stunning Anglesey Circuit and is being hosted by the Scarisbrick and District Armada (S&D Armada) motorcycle club.

All proceeds of the event are donated to the North West Air Ambulance and other charities chosen by S&D Armada.

Each team consists of as many as four riders with the winner the team that has covered the most distance in total, on a Honda C90.

While it’s unlikely that The Bike Insurer or The Van Insurer will win based on past experience, we have pulled out all the stops this year.

As well as a spanking new C90, tinkered with by a World Superbike paddock mechanic (kind of), we also have two riders from the World Superbike paddock, one of the leading amateur racers in the UK and Phil from The Bike Insurer, who thinks he should be in the World Superbike paddock.

While no guarantee of success, it can’t be any worse than last time, can it?
