Valentino Rossi’s 2014 YZR-M1 will be on display at the MCN London Motorcycle Show this month.

The bike that Rossi rode to a second place finish in the 2014 MotoGP World Championship will now take centre stage alongside a host of other bikes from the Doctor’s career on the track.

Last year, Rossi scored 295 points thanks to two race wins, six second and five third place finishes throughout the season.

In claiming 14 podiums in 18 races, Rossi was in the top three as many times as runaway winner, Marc Marquez.

But despite the veteran Italian’s consistent performances throughout the season, he still finished 67 points behind the young Spaniard as he claimed his second MotoGP title in only his second season in the premier class thanks to 13 victories throughout the season (including ten in ten at the start of the season).

With Movistar Yamaha’s 2015 bike already revealed, Rossi will be looking to push Marquez all the way on the new YZR-M1.

The complete line-up

Four other YZR-M1s will be on show as well as the 2014 model. The 2004 version, Rossi’s first world championship winning bike with Yamaha, will be in London, as well as the 2005, 2008 and 2009 bikes on which he smashed numerous records.

One less illustrious bike for Rossi is the Ducati Desmosedici 800cc GP11.

It was on the Desmosedici that Rossi finished seventh overall in 2011, his worst MotoGP championship finish.

The 1997 Aprilia RS125R, 1999 Aprilia RSW250 and 2002 Repsol Honda RC211V complete the display.
