Italian manufacturer Aprilia has unveiled the 2017 Tuono V4 1100 RR and it’s getting a raft of updates.

Electronic tweaks are the headline additions to the popular sports bike with Aprilia Traction Control (ATC), Aprilia Wheelie Control (AWC) and a Bosch-developed cornering ABS system all added to its equipment line-up.

The electronic changes will improve performance, says Aprilia, with the new ABS setup measuring acceleration, brake pressure, lean, pitch and yaw angles to regulate braking in corners.

At the front of the bike there’s a new colour display panel and a smartphone datalogging system that enables riders to give voice commands through their phone including the ability to make and receive calls.

Euro4 changes strike again

A big change for most manufacturers in 2017 is tweaks to engine performance to keep models in-line with European emissions standards and Aprilia is no different.

A new exhaust system and Engine Control Unit has been added to cope with an increase in revs.

Other tweaks have also been made within the powertrain to make the system more precise and fall in line with Euro4 standards.

The Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 RR will be available in 2017.
