Arai has revealed its 2016 Isle of Man (IOM) TT helmet, the RX-7V, the only one in the world to carry the TT logo.

Every year, the Japanese helmet manufacturer designs a limited edition version of its range-topping helmet to mark the IOM TT.

It will first be released in the Arai village at the TT in May before making its way to all European Arai dealers after 28 May.

The Arai Isle of Man TT 2016 Limited Edition helmet features the famous Manx flag and the well-known IOM TT races logo, as well as the words ‘Ellan Vannin” (Isle of Man in Manx).

Arai’s annual release is part of its on going relationship with the IOM TT and it’s the brand’s top of the range lid that’s given the TT treatment.

The RX-7V was the helmet picked for the limited edition run and it sits at the top of the Arai line-up.

It’s a brand new helmet from Arai and is completely handmade, taking up to three weeks for each lid to be made.

It’s designed for track use worn by some of the world’s leading riders in sport, including the likes of Jonathan Rea and Cal Crutchlow, but has been designed with road use in mind.

Standard versions of the RX-7V start from £499 and rise to £599, so expect similar pricing for the IOM TT 2016 helmet.

At that price it might be worth thinking about Helmet and Leathers cover, which you can get via The Bike Insurer.
