Indian reveals new Chief Dark Horse model

Indian Dark Horse

Indian Motorcycle has revealed a new model for 2016, the Chief Dark Horse.

Based on the Chief Classic, the new model is a matt black version where the classic chrome inserts have been replaced with matt black touches.

While the Dark Horse model is similar to the Chief Classic, it does come with a wide range of customisable options.

According to the American manufacturer, there are 40 different accessories available on the new Dark Horse, including fender struts, slip-on exhaust options and ape hanger handlebars.

The Cruiser is built as a one-person ride so passenger seats and additional foot pegs need to be requested if you’re keen to take a passenger.

It’s powered by the same 111 engine as the Chief Classic and keeps the ABS system, keyless ignition remote key fob and electronic cruise control of its stablemate.

It does however differ in other ways with Indian keen to make the Chief Dark Horse more dynamic and aggressive than the Classic.

Gone is the analogue fuel gauge of the Classic, as well as the oil cooler and driving lights.

It comes with a two-year unlimited mileage factory warranty and pricing in America starts from $16,999. In the UK, riders can expect to buy the Chief Dark Horse for around £12,000 when it goes on sale this year.
