New Harley-Davidson Roadster revealed

Harley-Davidson reveals new Roadster for 2016 (content)
Harley-Davidson has revealed its latest Dark Custom model in the form of the new Roadster.

The American giant’s Dark Custom line-up now consists of eight models with the Roadster joining the stable alongside the likes of the Low Rider S and the Forty-Eight.

Dark Custom models favour a stripped back look, in-keeping with the café racer trend across the globe, and the Roadster has had the minimalist treatment too.

According to Harley-Davidson, it’s inspired by classic racing bikes and for that you can read ‘retro look’ and that’s the main difference between it and the 1200 Sportster.

New features

New features come in the form of new front forks with more suspension travel than ever before for a model in the Sportster range.

Lightweight wheels and twin disc brakes feature at the front while a clipped mud guard sits at the back to complete the look.

Underneath it all, the Roadster uses Harley’s 1200cc V-Twin engine that’s setup for mid-range torque as you’d expect.

There are four colour options available including a black and charcoal, black denim with red pinstripe, a Velocity Red Sunglo with red pinstripe and a two-tone Billet Silver/Vivid Black topped off with a burgundy pinstripe.
