New Yamaha WR250F revealed for 2015

Yamaha WR250F

Yamaha has revealed the updated version of the WR250F for 2015.

The enduro model comes fitted with a new six-speed transmission and, compared to the previous edition, the 2015 WR250F comes with more midrange pull and much more torque at high revs.

That, according to the Japanese manufacturer, is a result of its engine, with the 2015 model kitted out with a ‘rearward-inclined cylinder with reverse cylinder head’ engine – the first off-road model to feature such a powertrain set-up.

The off-roader goes on sale in February and comes with a host of new updates compared to the previous WR250F.

As well as 200cc more oil capacity than its predecessor, the 2015 model also comes with new fuel injection settings and a new enduro suspension set-up.

There is also a new muffler, crankcase cover and an electric starter system that’s now switch free.

Pricing details are expected to be revealed on the 2015 250cc WR250F closer to launch.
