Suzuki Bandit prices revealed

Suzuki Bandit

Suzuki has revealed pricing for the Bandit 1250S which returns to the Japanese manufacturer’s line-up.

Prices for the new Bandit start from £7,299 and it is set to arrive in UK dealerships from 16 March.

The updated Bandit comes with new fairings that improve protection from wind and weather, according to the manufacturer.

One thing that isn’t new on the 1250S is the inline four-cylinder engine that has been used on previous Bandit models.

The engine delivers low down torque and grunt throughout the rev range, says Suzuki, providing a versatile powertrain for the Bandit.

Rob Cooper, Suzuki GB Marketing Manager, said: “Since the original 600 arrived in the UK, the Bandit name is one of the most recognisable in motorcycling, rivalling even our own GSX-R range for popularity.

“We’re delighted to be bringing it back for 2015 and to be doing so at an incredibly competitive price.”

And, based on The Bike Insurer’s data from 2014, the Bandit is certainly one of the most popular models in the UK.

Most popular bikes on The Bike Insurer

In 2014 the GSF 600 Bandit was the eighth most popular model based on submitted requests for quotes on The Bike Insurer.

Average minimum comprehensive insurance quotes for 12 months cover sat at £380.84 for the GSF 600 Bandit but a low price of £58.51 was also returned for the same model for one year’s full comprehensive cover.

Suzuki will be keen for the more powerful 1250S version to be just as popular in the UK market place as its lesser powered siblings when it arrives later this month.
