Triumph reveals Tiger Explorer XC Special Edition

Triumph Tiger

Triumph will release a limited edition version of the Tiger Explorer XC in 2015.

The British manufacturer will commission just 50 versions of the Special Edition model and they will arrive at select dealerships in the UK in April.

With a nod to the Adventure bike’s use by expedition specialists Globebusters, the Special Edition models come with a raft of tweaks when compared to standard versions.

All SE models come with satnav as standard as well as panniers and a roll bag.

There is also a taller front screen and headlight protectors to make long treks slightly more comfortable.

And the upgrades are rounded off with the addition of radiator guards and CNC machined front foot rests, as well as matt black or matt orange paint jobs.

It’s powered by the 137hp engine found on the standard Tiger Explorer models which means it also shares the same rider aids as the mainline option, namely throttle control, cruise control, ABS and traction control.

Prices for the Triumph Tiger Explorer XC Special Edition start from £13,999 on the road. Pricing for standard Triumph Tiger Explorer XC models start from £12,499.
