Triumph has updated the line-up for its Speed Triple, adding the special edition Speed 94 and 94R to the range.

The British manufacturer has added the new models to mark 21 years of the Speed Triple and both come with plenty of styling nods to their predecessors.

Triumph’s 94 is based on the entry-level version of the current Speed Triple but adds new colour schemes that hark back to original Speed Triple models, as well as black exhaust silencer wraps and a commemorative plaque on the tank.

The 94R also carries the same plaque but sits above the standard 94 thanks to Ohlins suspension, Pirelli Supercorsa SP tyres and Brembo brakes.

Both models come with commemorative logos and the original 1994 typeface from the first Speed Triple model.

The new models will be available in the UK in April with prices starting from £9,749 for the Speed 94 and £10,999 for the Speed 94 R.

The announcement from Triumph follows this year’s launch of the Tiger 800 XR, XC, XRx and XCx models which were first unveiled at the EICMA motorcycle show in November 2014.

It marked a busy period for the British manufacturer with the Rocket X  and special edition Thunderbird Nightstorm also revealed on stage in Italy in last year.
