Vespa celebrates 70th birthday
Vespa, the Italian scooter manufacturer, turned 70 years old yesterday and its birthday has been marked with limited edition versions of three of its most famous models.
Owned by Piaggio, Vespa is one of the most famous brands in the world of two wheels and arguably the best know scooter name of all.
And 70 years on from its debut, the Italian powerhouse is still churning out models in its own, often-imitated style.
In truth, the models are no different in terms of technical specifications to their predecessors, with all variations coming in the form of aesthetic touches.
There are new colour schemes across all models, called Azzurro 70 and Grigio 70.
Seats across all three models come with a new dark brown and beige layout. Vespa Settantesimo logos also feature across the models.
There’s also a special new boot bag that matches the seat, as well as a rear luggage rack across all the 70th anniversary models.
