Yamaha has unveiled its updated YZ motocross range for 2016.

The Japanese manufacturer has tweaked both the 250F and 450F, focusing on improved performance and usability.

To that end, the YZ450F has received a new Launch Control System (LCS), which will enable riders to get smoother and quicker acceleration off the start line thanks to an electronic system that makes changes to engine output.

New larger diameter brakes have been added at the front while new suspension settings and revised forks have been included in its changes to improve bump absorption.

The chassis has also been revised again with the hope of improving handling and rigidity, and a Power Tuner has been thrown into the mix, allowing riders to pick engine settings to suit different conditions.

The YZ250F has also been updated with a raft of similar changes to its big brother.

Larger diameter front disc brakes and a transmission upgrade have been included alongside tweaked suspension settings, while new lightweight materials have also been incorporated to improve acceleration and responsiveness.

For both models, limited edition anniversary versions will also be available from July and August to mark 60 years of Yamaha motorbikes.
