Get involved with International Women’s Day 2017

female-bikers-togetherWith International Women’s Day on the horizon it’s the perfect opportunity to focus on all you female bikers out there.

The theme for this year’s International Women’s Day is #BeBoldForChange with women everywhere being asked to come together to help forge a more gender equal world.

With this in mind, what better way of coming together as women than getting out on your bike with a group of like-minded ladies?

And whether that be by taking part in a female only track day or joining a women’s biker group, the choice is up to you.

International female ride day

If you still want to show your support for #IWD17 but group activities aren’t your thing, why not take part in International Female Ride Day?

The organisers’ aim is to build awareness of women motorcyclists by getting as many lady bikers out riding as possible.

The event takes place every year on the first Saturday in May so this year it’s on 6th May.

It doesn’t matter whether you ride alone or in a group, what’s important is that you get out on your bike and raise awareness.

World’s largest all female biker meet

Ever fancied taking part in a world record attempt? Well you can do just that if you get on down to Lynn’s Raven Café on 16th July.

Women from all over the country are meeting up in Wrexham to try and smash the world record for the Largest All Female Biker Meet.

With the aim of getting 1,000 female bikers together, this isn’t one to miss.

Women only riding experiences

Track days are one of the best ways to improve your skill on two-wheels, not to mention the fact that they’re heaps of fun.

Silverstone offer a Ladies Skills Day, where instructors will work with you on and off the famous track to help hone your skills and increase confidence on two-wheels.

The next date available is Friday 12th May and with prices starting at £150 it’s a little pricey but will definitely be an experience to remember.

And if that sounds a little too prim and proper for you, what about the chance to get muddy riding out in the Welsh forest?

The Full Day Ladies Only Off Road Kawasaki Motorcycle Riding Experience is suitable for all skill levels and better yet, you get to have a go on a Kawasaki off road bike!

Or you could take a day trip to Llangynog and get to grips with the Mick Extance Girls Only! experience.

You’ll be provided with kit and a motorbike so all you have to do is turn up and get involved.
