Motorcycle industry launches new way to find quality rider training

It is now easy to find top motorcycle training schools, thanks to a national website which features those which are accredited.

Quality counts and good training will lead to better riding skills! So you need to choose your training provider carefully, whether you’re doing a CBT, a full license or post test training.

A training school accredited by the Motorcycle Industry Accreditation Centre (MCIAC) will offer:

– Great customer service
– Quality motorbikes
– Clean helmets and kit
– A choice of bikes (geared or automatic)
– A safe and professional service (they must be fully insured for example)
– Suitable facilities including toilets and a classroom

There are already 64 sites listed on the MCIAC website, which are either fully accredited or close to completing.

MCIAC accredited schools are inspected annually and every customer is offered a feedback survey, to help keep standards high. Non-accredited schools are only inspected every four years.

In addition, the course which leads to accreditation is endorsed by the Government’s Driving and Vehicles Standards Agency (DVSA).

Where can I find an MCIAC training school?

You can find your closest accredited training school by entering your postcode into the search bar on the MCIAC website. The MCIAC is advising bikers to check the website regularly as new training schools will be added throughout the year.
