European Junior Cup 2015 - Calafat Days 1 & 2
DAY 1
Day one of the EJC\’s training camp complete after a successful day on track at Calafat.
Despite a gray start to the day, the prospect of a new Honda CBR 650R had all the riders excited but their time on track had to wait with briefings, track walks and the bike lottery all between them and time on the track.
Straight after lunch the riders got to get on track and the sun put in an appearance as the competitors tested their bikes on the tight and twisting circuit.
DAY 2
After a scorching end to the EJC training camp, both on and off the track, the countdown is on for Aragon and Round One.
We were always going to be excited ahead of the first race but after two days of top quality riding, we’re even more excited.
Day Two gave the young riders more time on the track to get used to their new Hondas and all the riders showed serious signs of improvement throughout the day as they became more accustomed to Calafat and the CBR 650R.
In the afternoon it was practice starts after a mammoth photoshoot involving all riders, their mechanics and the key members of staff in the Honda team, before the bikes we’re hosed ahead of the trip to Aragon.
We’re ready and raring to go for what’s going to be a brilliant kick-off to a competitive season in the World Superbike paddock.
