Getting your CBT with SL Motorcycle Training
Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) is the first step on any would-be-biker’s journey to getting a full motorcycle licence.
For some, it’s also the last step in the journey. Anyone aged 16 and over with a provisional licence can take their CBT which will enable them to get on the road a year before they start learning to drive.
It’s this fact that makes CBT courses so popular among young people but of course, it’s not just eager 16-year-olds who learn to ride motorcycles.
No matter what your age or situation, Compulsory Basic Training can be confusing to new riders. Is it a test? Can you fail?
We spent a day at SL Motorcycle Training Essex, where we found out answers to these questions and many more.
Watch the video to find out all you need to know about getting your CBT, including what happens on the day, what you can do to prepare, and what bikes it enables you to ride.
